Miami Shopping
If shopping is what you're looking to do, you've come to the right spot. Miami boasts endless retail outfits, selling everything imaginable. Whether you want to hit up a huge supermall or just lazily wander through some of the trendy streets and shops, there is something here for everyone.
Coconut Grove is a hotspot for trendy and often upscale shops. The Mediterranean-style CocoWalk shopping village has many shops and outdoor cafes, and The Streets of Mayfair has 228, 000 square feet of retail and dining space.
Miami Beach features the exclusive Bal Harbour shops, which contains a collection of very upscale boutiques and shops. The pedestrian-only Lincoln Road Mall is another popular Miami Beach Shopping area.
The downtown Miami area features a great collection of shops and markets. The Caribbean Market should be on everyone's must-see list with its arts and crafts stands. If you're into finding a unique souvenir, spend an afternoon browsing through the Miami Arts and Design District with its many furniture, antique and art shops, as well as a few wholesale stores. The Downtown Miami Shopping District is another good bet, with over 300 stores carrying a huge variety of merchandise.
Miami is home to many wholesale outlets, one of these being the Miami International Merchandise Mart, a 32-acre complex in West Dade housing over 300 permanent wholesale showrooms and a public shopping mall. Also in West Dade, bargain hunters will love the Mall of the Americas, and trendsetters will enjoy the new Dolphin Mall.
Heading over to the North Dade area, the Main Street Miami Lakes is an open-air mall, which hosts several festivals throughout the year. In South Dade the Shops at Sunset Place is a busy center with over 500 000 sq. feet of outdoor shopping space, mainly devoted to large well known clothing and retail chains.
